Mascot design—Sound Museum

Sound Robot

Sound Robot is a mascot character for Sound Museum, built around two screens that react to sound as it plays.

The face screen carries the emotional read—sad music, for instance, brings out a sad expression. The spherical body screen runs a generative animation that illustrates the incoming sound directly.

The renders below sample a few of those animation states—a starry night, bare branches, marble, water, a planet's surface—each one a different way of translating the incoming sound into an image.

Sound Robot render—a dark sphere with a glossy black face screen showing a sleepy expression, mounted on tripod legs.
Five Sound Robot renders in a row, the body screen showing different sound-reactive animations—Mars-like orange, Van Gogh's Starry Night, marble, bare tree branches, and blue water.
Fifteen Sound Robot renders arranged in a grid, the body screen cycling through different sound-reactive animations—fur, starry night, marble, tree branches, planetary textures, and flat colours.
